The actor was awarded an Emmy nomination for the role and served as executive producer for the films. Selleck plays a police officer who is a member of a multigenerational family. This role was also played by the actor in Blue Bloods, which premiered on CBS in 2010. Selleck eventually made it to the big screen. Also, he was part of the acclaimed comedy Three Men and a Baby featuring Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg. The comedy went on to become the top-grossing film.
